Putin, Macron stress need for fighting terrorism in Syria

Moscow, SANA – The Kremlin said that Russian President Vladimir Putin and French counterpart Emmanuel Macron stressed the need for fighting terrorism in Syria.

In a statement on Friday, the Kremlin said that during a meeting via video conference, the two presidents exchanged opinions regarding the situation in Syria, with Putin briefing Macron on the steps taken by Russia to reduce escalation in Idleb.

The statement said the two sides were in agreement on the need to fight terrorism and take steps to improve humanitarian conditions in Syria.
