Syrian weightlifter Ma’an Asaad Honored with Sports Medal on winning bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics

Damascus-SANA-The Olympic champion Ma’an Asaad was honored at al-Jalaa Sports City in Damascus on his winning the bronze medal in the weightlifting competition for over 109 kg at Tokyo Olympics and raising the Syrian flag in one of the largest Sports Forums, with an official, athlete and media presence.

Honorary head of the Equestrian Federation, Manal al-Assad, awarded Ma’an Asaad the Sports Medal presented by the Syrian Olympic Committee.

For his part, the Olympic champion Asaad said that this achievement is very important for Syrian sports and it is an incentive for him to prepare for the next Olympic games.

He added that he will spare no effort in training and will direct his compass towards the 2024 Paris Olympics, expressing his thanks and appreciation to all Syrians, and the warm reception and honor that assumes responsibility upon him for achieving medals in the upcoming tournaments.
