Syria wins 35 medals in first day of Arab Weightlifting Championship in Jordan

Amman, SANA –The Syrian weightlifting team won a total of 35 medals in the first day of the Arab Weightlifting Championship currently being held in Jordan.

The medals were won by Jaafar Mia (1 gold and 1 silver), Yahya al-Ghafir (2 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze), Rima Mohammad Rasheh (3 gold), Mary Hasan (6 gold), Rima Rasha (2 gold and 1 silver), Mirna Hasan (6 gold and 3 silver), and Mary Jeghaili (6 gold), bringing the total of medals to 26 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
