Damascus, SANA- Syria has expressed its sympathy and solidarity with India over the tragic natural disasters.
“Syria expresses its sympathy and solidarity with the government and people of the friendly Republic of India because of the tragic natural disasters, including landslides and floods, the latest of which took place in in the state of Maharashtra,” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry posted on Twitter on Tuesday .
Syria expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims ,and the Indian government.
Since the onset of the monsoon in India in early June, heavy rains and landslides resulted in numerous deaths and injuries in India, the last of which was landslide in Maharashtra, claiming the lives of over 27 persons.
